The film begins in a village where an innocent girl Lakshmi loves a devious & materialistic person Dharmaraju and Lakshmi's grandfather Parandhamaiah fixes their alliance. At the same time, Dharmaraju's distant maternal uncle Raghunatha Rao a millionaire, moves with the marriage proposal of his daughter Padma with him but by the time, Lakshmi is pregnant.
